Pretty useless. Very superficial.
Absolutely love the book.
Habe mir nun, nachdem man so viel davon gehört hat, das Buch zugelegt. Und ich muss sagen, es bringt genau das, was man erwartet. Drei Sterne gibt es aber von mir, weil ich finde, dass es auch nicht mehr bringt. Für den Preis ist es inhaltlich etwas dünn, und auf den vielen Seiten kommt etwas wenig rüber. Aber wer anderen Information Architecture erklären muss, dem Hilft das Buch sicher.
I love the model from Jesse James Garett. It helped me a lot to structure my work as product guy.
Das Buch ist einmal eine Ausnahme, denn es kommt ohne jeder technische Beschreibung aus. Ein Buch für die Theorie :-)
Das Buch liest sich gut, und der Autor ist sicher ein Experte. Das Diagramm ist perfekt und zu Recht berühmt. Aber das Buch das er daraus gemacht hat ist einerseits schön dünn, was gut ist. Andererseits weiß man als Praktiker nicht so Recht, was man damit anfangen sool. Denn er hat zwar Recht in jedem Satz aber welche Bedeutung das dann hat für die Umsetung muss man sich dann doch allein überlegen.Fazit: lesenswert als Anregung zum Nachdenken, aber für die Paxis kein Must-Read.
Das Diagramm von Jesse J. Garrett ist bereits seit Jahren ein Klassiker, wenn es darum geht, die Komplexität der User Experience verständlich abzubilden. Sein Buch ist auch nicht mehr ganz neu, ergänzt aber die Abbildung sehr gut, indem es die einzelnen Elemente anschaulich beschreibt. Leider hat sich Jesse J. Garrett dafür nicht ganz so viel Zeit genommen, so ist der Umfang des Buches und damit die Tiefe der Informationen nicht ganz so, wie man es sich wünschen würde.
